This March turned in the highest sales volume of any March in recorded history with $266,688,300 and the highest sales month so far this year. Eagle County had a total of 210 transactions in March. The month reflected a staggering average sales price of $1,269,944 per transaction, the highest seen in the county in any given month in history.
Contributing to those numbers were 7 transactions over $5 million dollars bringing the total sales in that price range to 12 in the first quarter. The average price for a single family home in March was just under $2 million at $1,823,935 with Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch accounting for the majority of that dollar volume with over 40% of the market.
Through the first quarter of 2007, the total sales volume is up 32% and transactions are up 5% over last year. Again, the high end market is strongly contributing to those numbers with nearly 20% of all transactions thus far over $2 million. The average price for all transactions is up to $1,053,438.
March Highlights:
Bachelor Gulch was again the area with the highest average price at $4,574,500. Eagle had the most activity with 35 transactions. The average price of a single family home was $1,823,935. The average price of a multi-family home was $1,150,044. The average price for vacant land was $358,088.
