Vail Colorado will be hosting the 2008 Mountain Travel Symposium. Some of the world’s most influential people and decision makers in the travel industry will be in attendance. From April 6th – April 12th, Vail’s renaissance or New Dawn the new Condominium projects and support resort amenities will be a showcase for these industry leaders.
The event will bring Vail more than $1million in revenue for local businesses and bring more than 1100 marketing and sales executives to the town. The opening of the Arrabelle at Vail Square a resort with in a resort with its shops and restaurants will be the center of attention. Arrabelle is Vail’s newest hotel condominium development. While Vail has been a well-known travel destination, there has been a strong consensus that to keep it that way, it needed some upgrading. The on-going development is turning Vail back into a luxury destination on top of a great ski mountain. So they have heated the main walk ways and build new ski facilities and upgraded he lifts.
Vail wants to become known as more than just a winter destination resort; the symposium will give the town a chance to show that summers and fall are amazing here as well. On April 8th, there will be an event that will showcase all Vail has to offer once the snow melts. And as a long time local I can tell you there is actually more to do in the summer than in the winter. In the land of low humidity and few bugs sitting relaxing in a chair as the sunsets is about as mellow as it gets up here. That is exactly what you need after a day of rafting, or horse back riding, hiking, biking, ballooning or the what can be the most exhausting thing of all, shopping.
