As the county seat of prosperous Eagle County, the quiet historic Town of Eagle along the I-70 corridor features great golf, a traditional "Main Street," a wonderful mix of Eagle CO homes and locally owned businesses, and the second busiest airport in the State of Colorado—the Eagle County Regional Airport.

Eagle has become popular for its slower pace and warmer, dryer climate and locality adjacent to the Eagle River that flows through the Vail Valley.  Real estate in Eagle, Colorado subdivisions and rural properties around Eagle are considered part of a harmonious cluster of small mountain enclaves along the rolling western slopes of Colorado that are near Vail CO real estate.   The few thousand residents of Eagle’s neighborhoods support the mountain resort commerce in the entire Vail real estate area.

Eagle Ranch real estate, located in lush Brush Creek Valley near town, is a great place to settle.  It is quaint and peaceful, and has astonishing mountain views.  Just minutes from Vail Resort, Beaver Creek Resort, and the Eagle County Regional Airport, the convenient Eagle Ranch boasts a superb new Arnold Palmer Signature Designed golf course, miles of paths and trails, and a charming village with a movie theater, shops, and restaurants.   Other amenities at the planned Eagle Ranch golf community include a 145-acre park, playing fields, a community center, and a nearby pool, ice rink, and elementary school.

The Eagle Ranch Golf Course has a tranquil but competitive atmosphere that makes it a truly unique golfing location at an altitude that's a first for most golfers.  With five sets of tees ranging from 5400 yards to 7500 yards, every golfer can find a challenge on the par 72 links in lush Brush Creek Valley and experience over-the-top, majestic Rocky Mountain golfing.

That busy Regional Airport is located just five miles west of town on US Highway 6 and services all of the ski-resort communities in the mountains.  Frequent private jets as well as commercial airlines operate on a variety of different schedules depending on the season.

Begun as a dot on the map—a stop on the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad that still runs through the mountains—this historic town recently won an honor award in The Broadway Streetscape Renovation from the Colorado Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA) Professional Design Awards.  Part of the renovation will be an area for 16 new homes on the rear portion of the Fox Hollow mixed-use development site.

The townsfolk have made Town Park a central hub of activities such as Flight Days and the Show Downtown. Additionally, thanks to encouraging volunteerism, the new Eagle-Gypsum segment of the Eagle Valley Trail is open to the public and can be accessed via Violet Lane on the north side of the Sylvan Lake Road roundabout.  The paved trail connects community centers throughout this strong and beautiful mountain region.
