Record Setting Numbers Continue!
May is the 2nd highest volume month in Eagle County history

Real estate sales in May became the second largest sales month in Eagle County history with $301,894,600 in total sales for the month – November of 2005 is the only month with more sales with $361,816,100.

The main contributors to the high sales volume in May were 11 transactions each over $4 million; plus the purchase of the Beaver Creek Hotel and the Village Hall Condominiums which sold for a total of $69,050,000.

This brings the year-to-date total to over $1.2 billion, which is 73% above last year’s record setting year.

Eagle County also had year-to-date record transactions, 1,145, which is 33% over 2006 year-to-date transactions.

The area of Eagle consists of over 25% of all transactions in the county with a year-to-date total of 291; Gypsum is second with 125 transactions. Beaver Creek is the area with the highest year-to-date dollar volume at $ 274,714,100, and accounts for over 22% of the Eagle County market.


May Highlights:

* Eagle County had an average year-to-date sales price of $1,073,348
* Beaver Creek is the area with the highest sales volume in the month of May with $101,249,000. It also had the month’s highest average sales price at $5,955,824, due to the large commercial transaction.
* Eagle had the most activity for the month of May accounting for nearly 25% of the market with 66 transactions.
* May’s average sales price for a single family home is $1,161,497.
