The 2007 Teva Mountain Games

One of the best parts of being a home owner in the Vail Valley is all the oppurtunities that are available to us throughout the year.  One of the biggest events, and a true kick off to the summer season in the Vail Valley is the Teva Mountain Games.  Now in its 6th year, the outdoor sports festival will kick off on may 30th and run through June 3rd.  The Teva Mountain Games is the country's largest celebration of mountain sport, soul and culture .

One of the things that makes the games so unique is the fact that is an opportunity for professional and amateur outdoor adventure athletes to converge upon the mountains and rivers of Vail to compete in the same event.  A chance for amateurs to measure themselves against some of the leaders in their sports.  The Sports that will be represented will include: freestyle and extreme kayaking, kayak and raft paddlecross, bouldering, speed and dyno climbing, mountain bike freeride and big air, cross country racing and the Vail Hill Climb, trail running, and the GNC Ultimate Mountain Challenge..

In addition to the athletic events, the Teva Mountain Games will include a mountain photography competition, an interactive exhibition and demo area, live music and mountain lifestyle parties. The Teva Mountain Games will award $100,000 in a combined cash purse.
