For the 4th straight month, Eagle County has produced record setting real estate sales. April 2007 was the best April on record with $233,926,100 in sales and 221 in total transactions. Also a ‘ditto’ on the month’s average sales price coming in at over $1 million. This brings the year-to-date average sales price for all real estate transactions in Eagle County to $1,054,708. High-end transactions continue to be the driving force; April had 4 homes sell in the over-$5 million price range. Two Strawberry Park homes closed in April for over $10 million each.

Total sales volume, compared with 2006 year-to-date, is up 30%, bringing the total volume of the county to $927,088,600. The number of transactions, compared to 2006 year-to-date, is up 2% to 879. Eagle continues to be the hottest area with 225 transactions, 140 more than Gypsum, a far second.

April Highlights:

* The area of Eagle had the most transactions with 50.
* Beaver Creek had the highest average sales price at $3,248,600.
* The average price of vacant land was $467,731.
* The average sales price for all transactions in April was $1,058,489.
