History making month – yet again!

For the 4th straight month, Eagle County has produced record setting real estate sales. April 2007 was the best April on record with $233,926,100 in sales and 221 in total transactions. Also a ‘ditto’ on the month’s average sales price coming in at over $1 million. This brings the year-to-date average sales price for all real estate transactions in Eagle County to $1,054,708. High-end transactions continue to be the driving force; April had 4 homes sell in the over-$5 million price range. Two Strawberry Park homes closed in April for over $10 million each. This March turned in the highest sales volume of any March in recorded history with $266,688,300 and the highest sales month so far this year. Eagle County had a total of 210 transactions in March. Eagle County surpasses $2 billion year-to-date in real estate sales!

Total dollar volume for Eagle County has surpassed the $2 billion mark for the fourth consecutive year, with four months still remaining. Total dollar volume is up from August of last year with $313,687,200 in sales and is 20% above 2006 year-to-date total. Transactions are stable with 285, down just 5% through the first 8 months of the year.
