Bachelor Gulch
Nestled in a scenic valley between Beaver Creek Resort and Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch Village links the ski trails of Beaver Creek and Arrowhead, creating a unique village-to-village skiing experience. Surrounded by ski terrain, a small, intimate village includes the Ritz Carlton at Bachelor Gulch. Bachelor Gulch Village obtained its name from a group of single men that settled here in the 1900s - John Anderson, Gunder Berg, Ed Howard, John Mertz and Ferdinand "Crippled" Smith. They supported themselves by logging and raising cattle, chickens and hay.  During The Great Depression, when the bachelors gradually drifted away. For nearly 50 years, no one lived in Bachelor Gulch as it patiently awaited rediscovery. In 1995, the Bachelor Gulch Village® of today was born, and now welcomes the next generation of pioneers.
In Bachelor Gulch, limited availability makes homes and townhomes highly valued. On Daybreak Ridge or Horizon Pass you’ll find custom, spectacular homes and home sites, while Hummingbird’s exclusive condominiums and homes feature dramatic views of the Gore Range and Red and White Mountain. A large percentage of the single-family home sites, mountain lodges, condos and cluster home sites provide ski-in/ ski-out access and are located amidst groves of aspen and evergreen or alongside beautiful alpine meadows. The master plan has been designed to maximize views and privacy with minimal impact on the natural environment. Located on 1,400 acres, most of Bachelor Gulch Village will be preserved as open and recreational space - including approximately 200 acres of ski terrain.
