Area Hut Trips
The Vail area is home to many huts that are part of the 10th Mountain Division system, located in the mountains of Colorado between Aspen, Leadville, and Vail. Styled after the European tradition of hut-to-hut travel, 24 huts provide overnight shelter for seasoned backcountry skiers and snowshoers. Reservations are required. Ice Climbing
A fun, safe, and challenging experience for all ability levels. Enjoy the winter landscapes of East Vail while taking part in this unique activity with family and friends. Ages 12 and up. All necessary equipment provided.
Nordic Skiing
The Beaver Creek Nordic Center offers snowshoe, cross-country, and telemark rentals. Lessons are available as well as group tours daily. The tours include a half-day track tour, a full day nature tour, or a skills tour. There are designated trails at the top of Strawberry Park (and at the top of Chair 12) in McCoy Park. Lift charges do apply.
Sleigh ride dinners

Nova Guides offers 1 and 2 hour tours on more than 50 miles of groomed trails in the White river National Forest. Enjoy a hot beverage and spectacular views of Vail’s Back bowls, Notch Mountain, or four surrounding mountain ranges at the 1930’s Tigiwon Cabin.
