Want to try a dog rent one Vail adds a new service

Just about anything that you want in your life can be rented now a days and Pets are no exception.  FlexPetz which rents in San Diego and Los Angeles is opening in Manhattan.  So far 80 plus people are on the waiting list to rent a pet.  This idea is targeted towards those that either don’t have time to take care of a pet full time or are not sure of the breed best suited for their lifestyle.

And what does trying a pooch costs to rent these days?  After administration fees, membership fees etc, first timers will pay between $200-$250 for a weekend.  Some are even renting for status, walk down the street with two exquisite dogs and people will stop you.

Some feel this is cruel, and that pets are in the same category as children, you don’t rent your children do you?  But FlexPetz disagrees because all the animals have a main place to stay or main person who takes care of them, and besides so many of these animals are unwanted anyway.

In Vail Colorado, we just heard that the Lodge at Vail, which has been around since the beginning of Vail, is doing the same thing, renting dogs for the weekend.  So now you can visit Vail for skiing, fine dining and shopping and in case you are missing your pooch, you can rent one.
