Spago and Wolfgang Puck have been synonymous with luxury and celebrities in Beverly Hills, the Ritz Carlton and Beaver Creek Colorado, also known for luxury, have recently added a small gem to their fantastic amenities, Spago now graces the interior of the gorgeous Ritz Carlton.
If you want Colorado Mountain style interior please look to the other great restaurants in the Valley. This has been none in a sort of LA style. But the food is as good as you get anywhere.

Until now, the Spago name has been associated with warm weather locations including Maui and Las Vegas but has not yet been in Ski country.  This has been something that the Puck group has been considering for several years. Aspen Colorado, a ritzy ski resort roughly 1.5 hours from Vail, was a candidate but for various reasons didn’t end up getting the famed restaurant.
Puck himself was on hand in Beaver Creek to celebrate the opening of his restaurant. There were several soft openings and about 100 Realtors were invited to an taken in the transformation and the food. Boy did we take it in. The appetizer just kept coming and there were all so good that more than one realtor had to be rolled out the door. I was dignified and showed enough restraint that I could still waddle out. The menu will be similar to that of the Beverly Hills restaurant although they will be somewhat less expensive. And what of the children?  Unlike some of the other Spago’s, this one is happy to seat children, but no children’s menu per say is yet being offered.
So while Vail and Beaver Creek have so much to offer already including fantastic skiing, shopping and fantastic hotels, now you can add one more item to your list, Uber luxury at the Ritz Carlton’s Spago Restaurant.
