Vail Resorts Competitor Gets One of the Best

Bill Jensen is a name well known to the Vail Resorts ski industry in Vail Colorado.  Today, Jensen decided to go work for Intrawest, which is one of Vail Resorts biggest competitors. The big name resorts owned by Intrawest are Whistler-Blackcomb in British Columbia, Steamboat, Winter Park and Copper Mountain all in Colorado.  Those that had the chance to work with him feel that he is an excellent leader and has made some very impactful changes to the ski industry in Vail.

His knowledge areas include everything from marketing and technology, real estate development and of course seeing things through the eyes of the customer.  Jensen is known for improving safety on the mountain and grooming of the mountain. Other resorts have followed his lead in implementing some of these initiatives.

Of course one has to wonder if the new changes at the top level of Vail Resorts had an impact on the change. There as been a lot of controversy over the changing of the guard here. The move to take most of the staff down to the Denver area where Rob Katz the new man in charge lives had a huge cultural shift.

With the Olympics coming soon to Whistler Bill Jensen is poised to make a big difference to the Intrawest group in Canada and create a larger name for him.
