Vail Colorado Private Ski Resort May Get Vote Tomorrow

The Ginn Development Company may get it’s decision for building their private ski resort  in the town of Minturn Colorado, an old mining town 10 minutes from Vail, much sooner than expected.  The town council wanted to vote before the April election and some are saying the vote could take place tomorrow evening.  Ginn wants to build 1700 homes and condominiums, a golf course and a private ski resort just south of Minturn Colorado.  If the vote does take place tomorrow and is approved, it will have to go through one more final decision which could come as earlier as February 27th.

One of the town council members, who has been absent due to illness for the last couple meetings, will most likely not make this one either. What that means for the voting is that there could be a tie.  If this ordinance is approved, Ginn would only have one more potential hurdle, a referendum of Minturn voters, but that would only happen if the residents submitted a petition of signatures to the town.
